The Ring Rail Line and Aviapolis-station project

 
In the future, along with a proper road network, connections from the nearby areas of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport will be administered by Ring Rail Line. The Ring Rail Line is a circular rail route passing through the Airport and its nearby areas. When completed, the Ring Rail Line will interconnect the Airport and its nearby areas to the metropolitan railway network. The construction of the Ring Rail Line started in 2009 and it will be completed by 2014.
 
One of the Ring Rail Line stations will be located in the Aviapolis-area, which is near the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Above the underground station, which is named accoring to the district, is a place, where the aim is to create a new innovative area and not just a normal business-park. The aim is to create an area capable of being the heart of the whole Aviapolis-area. If succesful, this project will be a catalysator for further development of the Aviapolis-area.
